Was Lal’s reply as she listened to her speak, the
spell she was under was — different at least to her.
As honestly she didn’t think she’d hear such words
from Verde of all people. But they were nice.
“ I guess not. But that smile on your face is odd ”.
Which in Lal terms meant ’ I’m not sure I trust you if you
are going to smile at me like that ’ . That and he was used
to Luce giving her that smile – though it still weirded her out
since she wasn’t used to smiles like that – ever.
