He watched with mild interest as the woman opened her new wings briefly, before tucking it back neatly on her back.  The wings seemed more useful than his ears, especially since it did make her look a bit more intimidating.  Well, far more than the fluffy ears that sat on his head once again.  

“I thought they were for decoration.”  He responded shrug being offered.  There was a pause before he tilted his head toward her.  "Have you tried flying with them?“  

Could he trade a ear pet for her feather?

   ” I have. I haven’t quite gotten the hang of it
fully, but I can at least fly for a bit “.

if he possibly promised to catch her if she fell flat
on her face again.

Maybe. If you add cuddles to ease the pain of losing
