It isn’t like Squalo to let a third party hamper his missions; he’s a first-rate contract killer, and when he requires secrecy usually finds little difficult it acquiring it also. The often gruesome, ruthless, and bloody aftermaths of his liquidation jobs likely betray the presence of Varia, but snubbing individual targets meant to be shrouded in confidentiality are far from a challenge for him, either.
Only he hadn’t expected a familiar face to grace the ill-lit periphery the moment he skewered the quarry with his sword.
Adorned in a dress tell-tale of a social affair — not just any affair, either. Could it have been the same gala from which Squalo departed in order to trail his target? In light of being struck by such a possibility, the shrewd man instantly assigns a name not to her appearance, but the staunch personality reflected in her eyes. A fucking CEDEF hound.
With an aggrieved snarl, he stems braces a foot against the shoulder of the motionless body propped up against the brick wall and crudely yanks the point of his blade out from the dead man’s mouth. Long silver locks whip fluidly as he turns to face her.
“Vuuuooooiii… What the hell are you doing here, Lal Mirch?“ Snarling, he braces his blade offensively before him. "You better give me a damn legitimate answer, or I’ll make you return to Iemitsu less a tongue, hey!”
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; The gala itself was pretty boring as far as she was concerned. Much like most of the ones she previously attended – dancing, drinks, people socializing and trying to be friendly with one another. Neither was her cup of tea at all. Perhaps the drinking part — but the socialization and dancing were far from it. Yet here she was scanning the crowd for a certain target. A target she needed alive in order to extract information on who would be her next target. It was going to be a two-hit kill tonight. If everything went well.
Upon seeing the man in question head out towards the balcony area she – clad in a dress that fitted the social affair she had attended – under a different name mind you – but had attended with a gun hidden under part of her dress. Heels completed the outfit and her hair pulled to one shoulder , twisted and tied in such a way that made it out of her way and allowed her to move without her hair bothering her. Not that it usually did. However upon getting to the curtains of the balcony and seeing a familiar silver haired girl ? no guy there.
She let a small scowl appear on her lips upon seeing a sword embedded in the very person she had been following to try and get information out of. Dammit. Seeing the Varia commander turn around, snarl and demand to know what she was doing here she winced at his tone. God was he ever loud.
” Too loud “.
Lal complained moving to walk further into the balcony, an arm moving down to draw her gun from it’s holster. Just to be prepared in case they both had unwanted company out in the open like this. And there went a threat – nothing that she wasn’t used to hearing from many others. But she merely glanced from Squalo over towards the guy to be sure he had been the one she needed and he was. Glancing back towards Squalo her gaze narrowed into a stern look. One that showed that she wasn’t happy at what had happened.
” I should be asking you this. What the hell makes you think you can just kill him !? “.
She snapped, then added more or less explaining why she was there.
” I needed that man for information dammit ! You stupid loud-mouth! Now I have to find another way of luring the target out. Fuck ! “.
Lal hissed, not the happiest about this. As now she had to figure out a different tactic to lure the other out. All because the Varia decided to waltz their butt in here and screw things up.
” Is anyone else from your group here, or just you ? “
She then questioned, hoping it was just him. As she didn’t think she could handle a group of assassins at this very moment.
