He…was not expecting that.
Colonello had busted through a barricade of doctors and nurses just trying to get to her, blocking out all advice and warnings that were thrown at him. All he knew was that he heard about a failed mission, and how he regretted not following her to it. What kind of student was he to not care about his own instructor, even if he knew that she was perfectly capable on her own?
But she was not perfectly capable on her own.
The moment he was beside her, he had shouted her name. And there was the response, the blank stare, and the sound of his heart breaking.
“You…don’t remember me?” Stupid question. Of course she did not. His knees were weak, almost not holding him up. He refused to believe it though.
“Lal, I’m Colonello, kora,” he said with an exasperated laugh, reaching out to touch her. “Your…student. Of course we know each other…right?”

—— ;; Staring at white walls weren’t going to make
anything better. Yet she often found herself lost in
thought after she woke up, trying to figure out how
she had managed to get to where she was. She didn’t
remember going to the hospital she didn’t — remember
much at all right now. Which worried her, enough that
when she woke up the doctor and nurses were asking
her so many questions that it made her head all jumbled
and made it so she couldn’t give them a proper answer.
However she could heard the sounds of someone
running towards her room, pushing through people in
the process in order to get there. Instinctively she
moved her legs closer to her body and moved a
hand to try and find something she could use to
defend herself with against the oncoming stranger
who had now burst through the door, shouting a name
she wasn’t sure about.
Lal? Was that her name?
Regardless if that was her name or not she had
asked him a question, her eyes holding a blank
stare as she looked at him though it was mixed
with unsureness as she stared at him. Who on
earth was this man? The look on his face told
her that he seemed confident that he knew her
– or rather this Lal person that he added upon
adding his own name. Colonello? The name
seemed unique and possibly a little familiar,
like she may have heard it before at some
point in time.
“ Colonello…”.
She mumbled out in thought as she mused over
the idea of his name being familiar to her. The
exasperated laugh he added after telling her
his name told her that he might actually really
know her. Or at least he was confusing her for
someone else. The next thing he said made her
blink. She had a student? Really? She didn’t
remember ever having a student or training
anyone at all. A confused look appeared on
her face moments after as she looked at him.
“.. I don’t have a student”.
Was her response then gave an odd look when
he went to reach out and touch her. Her body
following her mind in slightly shifting a bit away,
as though unsure what he was planning to do.
“ I think you’re mistaken. I don’t know who this ’
Lal ’ lady is. But I do not think I am her ”.
Her answer was honest as she — well she couldn’t
remember her name but the way he was speaking
was like he was wishing that she was the person he
had called her by. She didn’t think she was – as she
didn’t know him at all, yet if she was this Lal person.
Shouldn’t she be able to remember him?
