A small smile slipped into his features at the first text. It was rare to see Lal accepting his encouragement in such an endearing manner, wondering how she looked right now. Sometimes there were just words that were easier typed than spoken, and he understood that completely, much unlike him who had a sharp tongue at everything under the light.
And the second text only tugged his lips to a wider grin, eventually just chuckling to himself, embarrassed by the slight heat in his face. Lal missing him — that was definitely not something he would hear or let alone see from her. He had decided that he would keep these messages, slipping off his couch to reach for his jacket in thought to go and surprise her anyway, until the next text came.
The guy with pretty eyes? What guy with pretty guys? What the fuck?!
Colonello did not like the sound of this guy. No, he knew Lal could take care of herself just fine, but was she ever the kind who would just compliment a stranger?
She never even complimented her student. At all.
Up until she drank some, of course.
[text] I’ll be there in 15.
That was all he left with her just after his phone alerted him of a new message, and then he was snatching his keys and making his way out of the house to his motor.
Wait…he did not know where exactly she was at.
[text] Where are you?
He began driving anyway, keeping an eye out for any bar or pub that she could be at.
She was either drunk or — this was something she didn’t mean to send.
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; It really didn’t seem like this guy – who yes she admitted had pretty eyes. But he was starting to make herself regret admitting that. The guy, Antonio she thought was his name kept talking while she took sips of her drink. It seemed he came to the conclusion that ’ Not interested’ meant playing hard to get. Not for this girl, at least right now.
The sudden buzzing of her phone going off made her attention switch from anto–that guy and towards her phone. Perking up a little upon seeing his text. He was coming, good! She was never the type of person who was happy to see someone or at least showed it – but with enough drinks she let loose inner feelings she normally didn’t admit – ever.
It wasn’t even a couple minutes that she got another text from him. He didn’t know where? Oh. Wait – did she? Glancing from her phone to around it hit her – oh she was at Tony’s well it was officially called ’ Antica Vineria ‘ But the people who knew the owner like her called it another name. Regardless her blond prince needed his directions. Turning from Antonio she started typing.
[text] At Tony's
She thought for a moment then added upon seeing the name on the menu.
[text] Antica Vineria's
It wasn’t really that far from her place. So much that she could of walked home if need be. Turning back to Antonio to hear his question. Did she what? “ .. What ? ”. Came from her mouth quite bluntly.
“ I asked if you were texting your boyfriend. You keep smiling at your hone”.
Was she really that smiley at Colonello’s texts? She.. didn’t think. But it just meant that what she tried to keep close to her – unaware to the blond – was showing. “ He isn’t my boyfriend, stupid”. She spoke, adding in her head. ’ yet.. ’ Not that she really thought he saw her as anything more then an ex-instructor. Taking hold of her drink she downed a good portion of it. Hopefully he’d chalk up anything weird she said as just being drunk. Hopefully.
