Now, Colonello is not all an expert about women — he is not an intentional flirt unless he had any true interest in the other person, but he is honest when it comes to caring for them, which too often brought about misunderstanding and embarrassment to the other party since he has the looks already. Hanging out with people that are opposite to this unique characteristic though has given him enough insight on the other gender.
Not that it was difficult at all to tell that Lal was really unladylike in her behavior. And he thought he was trying to do her a favor by reminding her that she was a woman.
His expression did change a bit to the last statement thought. Almost…disappointed. But he kept his smile up.
“If you say so. Just don’t wait too long, or the opportunity might slip away before you realize it, kora.” He was not trying to discourage her, but…if she did not want to go on a date, he would hold back. For now.
“But I think you’ll look more beautiful in a skirt.” If this was not an obvious flirt, he would not know what else is. He even held back from adding a smartass remark to it, to save his neck.
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; Was that a hint of … disappointment? Was he disappointed with her that she didn’t wish to go on a date? It was almost as if he himself wanted her to go out on one. Why? She wasn’t sure as– as much as she tried she found it hard to understand the blond in front of her. It was almost like just when she thought she knew him he’d throw a curve ball at her and just ..change.
Not in a bad way oh no, but it surprised her. He was slowly becoming less and less like the newbie rookie that she had trained and more into… well what usually would of made herself proud. Yet as much as she was proud n a sense, she still felt like she was hanging on his word. Specially when it came to her personal life. Odd, as she knew she was independent, but.. she changed. That may have been it. Being around him so much changed her, even if it was a little.
But the smile he kept up, confused her even more, was he disappointed? or not? She couldn’t tell. “.. I know”. Came her reply, she knew if she waited too long she’d probably end up alone. Then again, her past experiences did something similar in that sense. In a way she gave up trying to be womanly due to it not suiting her – but she may need to try once more. “ What if I’m better suited to being alone? You know well enough that men avoid me”. She wasn’t to sure where she was going with this, but the next thing he said caught her off guard. She.. what? “ Y - You really think so?” Why on earth did she sound like an excited school girl at a simply flirt tactic. She knew this was him obviously flirting with her, it was obvious and she wasn’t stupid. Well stupid enough not to not notice it that is. But, back to what was really on her mind the most.
“ If you are that concerned about me not having a date or wanting to go on one. Go on a date with me”.
Lal stated, and almost afterwords she realized just what she had said. Hopefully he’d say no, like she had a feeling he would. H - He didn’t see her that way, she was sure of it.
