⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; She honestly did not expect to be so nervous. This was just a mee— no it was a date. She had to remember that, it wasn’t any old casual meeting. It was a date. A thing she hadn’t gone on in — well a long while. So nervousness was something she should of expected. Considering it was with him. N - not that this wasn’t a bad idea — oh no. Her heart was more then okay with this. It was just trying to keep herself from being a red tomato through this entire thing would be the plan of action. Standing near an open area — a spot she thought would be good enough that he could pick her out of a crowd. Or perhaps her clothing choice ( chosen by Oregano ) would make her be less noticeable? Those sorts of thoughts went through her head as she stood there. Maybe he wouldn’t show? Or maybe he was too busy to show? No. He still had lots of time to make it here, she noted to herself after pulling out her cellphone to check the time. Though she had to snap herself out of her thoughts — and second guessing herself on her wardrobe to hear a familiar voice. Blinking she glances up from her phone — she had been staring at it for god knows how long. To see the man she had been waiting for jogging his way towards her. Putting her cell phone away in her small side bag she felt a flush warm her cheeks. Somehow she felt she would always be able to pick him out from a crowd — that and he looked different today. Not a bad different — as she did too — but a ’ it’s not what I usually see him in ’ sort of different. Though seeing him stand at attention once making it there with a smile seems to make her a bit less nervous. Just a bit. His next comment throws her for a small loop that is. She — what? Was that a compliment? or was he making fun of the fact that she was in a dress? “ Ah, thanks ? ”. Lal responded, looking a tad unsure if she should of taken it as a compliment like she thought it was, or get upset by it. “ You look like a man too “. Two could play the game of ’ gender compliments ’ as it seemed like they were playing. ” I mean.. you look nice”. Which was her own way of saying that he looked good in those clothes. Enough that if she looked at him more she’d be flushng a bit more then the pink in her cheeks showed. “ So.. uh.. where to first ?”. She questioned, a bit unsure on just where he had thought would be a goof place to start. Even though she was the one to ask hm out and all.
Colonello beams as he takes another look down her dress. Really, did Lal pick this out for herself? Not likely, he thinks – most likely a female CEDEF agent who picked it out for her, especially from the way she picks at the hem as if unsure of it.
But honestly, he thinks it suits her very well.
Of course it was a compliment. Though, at being called a man makes him twitched a bit. “Of course I look like a man, kora – always been.” Wait, she thinks he looks nice? That earns a slightly wider smile and some pink in his cheeks as he thanks her.
At the question, he blinks. “Thought you’ve already figured a place to go, kora. So we’ll be going to dinner, right? But it’s still early and we’re probably not hungry yet, so let’s start off with a walk in the park? You decide though, since you were the one who asked.”
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; Part of her was already dreading what sort of answer she would get in response to her question, and yet his words made her feel a tad .. stupid ? She wasn’t sure the word but she felt a bit embarrassed at least. Right, she WAS the one who asked him, so she SHOULD be the one with a game plan. Yet her nerves had been in the way of her thinking clearly. “ Yes, Dinner is the end plan “. Lal spoke with a nod then continued after he finished speaking. “ We can take a walk first, it might help waste time until we are hungry “. Then started walking towards what looked to be a trail that lead further into the park, and if she remembered Oregano telling her the trail had some spots that were cut off and used by couples. N - not that she planned on leading him there, but she at least knew where at least two were to – well avoid them. “ .. Is there any place you’d like to go instead ? If you don’t feel like taking a walk “. She questioned, turning back to glance at him curiously. She may have ‘ planned ‘ things, but she wanted to be sure he was enjoying himself too.
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; So, he brought a towel with him because he wasn’t sure what sort of welcome gift to get due to gender? Really? She wasn’t sure if she should honestly believe him, but the more she looked at him the more he seemed honest about his words — though the pretty lady part did make her instinctively assume that this man might just be a flirt by nature. She has come across a couple of those in her line of work, but not that many that she liked dealing with them. Hopefully if she had to deal with this man more then now —- she could do it.
Though she was at a toss up at whether or not to pretend to be flattered by being called a pretty lady or not. Though his question about her having someone with her earned a blink. If she didn’t know any better it was sounding like this man wanted to get to know her. She knew she did have to play a role as someone else, so perhaps being friendly — or more friendly then usual — with the locals might play well. ” No, I don’t have anyone. I currently live alone”. Was her response, even though she noticed him try and glance behind her to see if she did in fact have someone living with her. Maybe it may have been good idea to do — it would save her from any perverts — but she also liked her alone time as well. That and she was pretty sure having someone else living with her would hinder what she had to do.
Upon almost closing the door she blinked hearing his words quickly said, making her pause the door. Did he just invite her out to dinner? She had a feeling she was right upon labeling him as a flirt. Though as he continued on to speak — now that he had caught her attention it seemed — to add that it was a ’ welcome to town ’ sort of meal. The idea itself didn’t seem all that bad, it was either stay home and attempt to cook or go out and have a meal that was well prepared and didn’t require her to spend hours cleaning up the mess she made. The more she thought about it the more going out to eat sounded like a good idea. It would even help her scope out the town a bit more. ” I don’t see why not. Since you seem intent on wanting to be in my company, even though you don’t know me nor my name. Nor do I know yours for that matter”. She spoke, her words blunt but it didn’t have any annoyance to them, showing that she didn’t mind the idea of going out to eat with him. Since it would help her in the long run. ” Let me grab my keys, and we can head out”. Lal spoke, turning around to head to where she put the keys to the house. Leaving the door open enough that he could see inside. She had nothing to hide — she had put away anything that would seem suspicious anyway. So to anyone who didn’t know what she did it looked like a newly moved in house, that was it. Upon grabbing her keys and her purse as well, just in case she wanted to get anything after the dinner.
Then turned and headed back towards the door, stepped out and locked the door afterwords. Looking over at him with curious eyes afterwords. “ So, are you going to tell me your name? Or are you going to remain Mr. Mysterious? Or perhaps Towel boy might suit better”. She questioned, teasing him a bit as she kept her gaze on him. Names were probably best first before they actually went out anywhere, so she wouldn’t have to label him with a nickname and call him by it —- and face having him hang around more to try and get her to remember his name or something like that.
“Is that so?” No reason for him to not believe her when she said that she lived alone, since it looked like it anyway. Which meant that this would be an easier job to handle, should he decide to do so. Company was always troublesome to him.
Colonello waited with obvious hope in his eyes for her response to his invitation, though already coming up with alternative plans in his head should she decline. But of course, dinner would be the easiest to start off, otherwise he would have to go with the morning jog plan.
And he was actually a little surprised that she easily agreed, beaming at her. “That’s great! Ah, of course, that’s why we’ll have dinner together, kora.”
Perfect. He waited for her outside, resisting the urge to enter and snoop around – he would have plenty of time for that later.
He turned to her as soon as she had locked up, bursting into chuckles at her suggestions. Was she naturally this funny? He liked that.
“The name is Colonello, kora.” There was no harm using his name – it was only known to some of his frequent clients, who had to swear not to reveal except to other potential clients. Pretty sure no other assassin would know it, if they cared. Otherwise, he was just a regular Mr. Sniper.
“What about yours? Miss Just-Moved-In?” he asked, gesturing as he began to lead her to the streets towards the restaurant.
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; Colonello huh ? She wasn’t sure but that name sounded a tad familiar to her. Maybe it was just her suspicions being in her field and all. So she played it off like he was a new stranger to her – which in a way he was regardless if his name sounded familiar or not. Though as he started to lead her towards the streets that lead to the restaurant the question she had been expecting came. Her name. “ It’s Sara “. She replied back, a lie, but by this point in her life she found it easy to slip a little lie in there as no one believed otherwise. And this guy before her wasn’t any different in terms of being able to see through her lie. However now that she looked around as she walked, the area really didn’t look that bad. No she wasn’t a soccer mom, but she figured she could blend in – at least until her mission was complete. Then she would leave and no one would be any the wiser of what happened to ‘ Sara ‘. As long as she kept loose ties to people. “ It’s a pleasure to meet you, Colonello “. She continued giving a small smile as she let her gaze fall back to the blond. The more she looked at him the more attractive he seemed – kind of like he was that unique piece of a puzzle in a puzzle full of normal pieces. “ So.., what sort of restaurant are you taking me to ? “. She finds herself questioning as she keeps walking – was she even dressed properly for where he planned on taking her ? Would it even be food that she liked ? She supposed she would find out at least about the food when she got there. If he didn’t answer it in her question.
—— ;; He thought she was someone else? Had he been expecting someone else to arrive instead of her? Well, okay she will admit that she may have been a surprise here — but she did have a good reason for it — though thinking on it now he may have been expecting his girlfriend to come over, since he seemed to be the type that might have one. Or had a few girls he played around with, either was how she saw him at this current point.
Though what he said next upon listening to him surprised him. Wait hold on —- this guy was her new roommate? The idea of having a female roommate came crashing around her as she looked a bit surprised. Obviously not expecting the shirtless man to be the person she would be living with. Well …. it could be worse, it could be a creep. Is what she told herself as she let herself recover from her shock. ” Wait —- so your my roommate?”. She questioned before hearing him continue on talking. Oh, right, her new room. She almost forgot about it from her shock —- which she had recovered from. ” Ah — sorry. I just wasn’t expecting my new roommate to be someone nice on the eyes”. Lal stated then added, ” And it’s alright, I kind of came at a short notice. I do apologize for that”, Regardless if her roommate was male or female she had been intending on apologizing to them about appearing out of thin air. However the offer to show her to her new room was nice — though she supposed she could of guessed which was hers — complete with the offer to carry her stuff in. How nice. ” Thanks, and help would be great”, Lal replied, though even if she had said she could do so she had a feeling he was doing this to make up for confusing her as whore of sorts. She didn’t mind — meant she could carry just the bag she had with her. Upon following him to the door — the only unmarked one she glanced over towards him upon hearing him speak up again. Kicked out? Well.., sort of. ” In a way; yes. My old roommate decided to change schools and go abroad”. She explained as she used her free hand to open the door he gestured to, and walked in. Glancing around a bit while she did and wheeled the one suitcase she had with her inside. Huh, it didn’t seem that bad. It certainly had enough space for her by the looks of it. And she could very well personalize it to how she wanted it. Perhaps living here wouldn’t be that bad. ” You can leave that bag near the bed, I’ll figure out where it’s going a bit later”. She spoke up, glancing at him and gesturing to near the bed, before taking another look around the room, then back towards him. ” Thanks for showing me to my room, you can leave now”.
She didn’t think he was the roommate? Well, gathering from the way he had greeted her earlier, probably not – and it was not that common to be roommates with the opposite gender, yet at the same time not impossible since his kind of dorm had separate bedrooms anyway, and usually done when they ran out of rooms.
Wait – nice on the eyes? Was that a compliment? She probably had a crush on him? His cheeks felt a little warm, but he quickly shrugged. “I’ve heard that sometimes – ” But he had never reacted like this to anyone who complimented him, which was actually quite common. Weird.
At least it sounded like she was a student too, just from a different department. “Sounds fun, what your roommate is doing, kora.” It made him miss Ryohei a bit, even as he entered the room that used to belong to him, and placed the bag at the designated spot.
Chasing him off so soon though? He straightened up, scratching his face a bit. “You’re welcome – ah, can I know your name? Since we’re going to be roommates, after all. Mine’s Colonello, kora.” He extended a hand, indicating that he did not mind a shake.
⊰ ————— { ♚ } —— ;; After she had thanked him she hadn’t expected to hear a question thrown at her. Much less the conversation to continue after his response to his comment towards her old roommate had merely been a head nod of acknowledgement. Turning her gaze from the room over to him she blinked. He wanted her name ? Ah, right. Perhaps she had been too tired, but she supposed he at least needed to know that about her. That, and he even gave his own name as well. “ It’s Lal Mirch “. Came her short but simple response. No sugar coating anything, he wanted to know her name, and now he did. Though upon seeing the extended hand, indicating that he wanted a handshake earned a blink as she stared at his hand then at him each for a few moments before extending her own hand out and grasping his outstretched hand with her own and gave him the handshake he so required. Letting go and drawing her hand back moments after, and not because she noticed that his hand was big – but because she didn’t see the point in a long handshake. “ It’s nice to meet you, Colonello ”. She added, figuring he wanted a little more then just her name. Though she wasn’t the most open of people about herself – which she would soon learn. It showed with her next choice of words to him. “ If we are finished with formalities. I’d like to start unpacking my stuff now “. Her eyes making a gesture towards the door in an ‘ you can leave ‘ gesture. As she really didn’t think she needed to repeat herself again. If he was going to be persistent, she planned on making him leave ; forcefully.
